We are delighted to share the news of Ali Kaaf’s participation in the upcoming 7th edition of the Mardin Biennale, to be held in Mardin, Turkey, in May 2026.
Works from his Byzantine Corner series will be featured. This project explores architectural images Kaaf captured of the Byzantine Corner in Hagia Sophia, superimposing notions of past and present.
Through diverse media, Kaaf engages with tradition by using fragments to recompose a new whole, shedding light on the meshing of different cultures and the seamlessness that emerges when they are brought together as a unified entity.
