Samia Halaby at the Mead Art Museum

Description

The Mead Art Museum established in 1821 is part of Amherst College, Massachusetts. Recently one of Samia Halaby's paintings, donated by collectors Anne and Jack Thompson in 1972, was put on permanent display in the museum's galleries devoted to contemporary art.

In conjunction with this, Samia has been invited by Randall Griffey, Curator of American Art, to present a lecture about her work. This will take place on February 16, 2012, at 4 p.m.
