Ayyam Gallery is pleased to announce that artist Sama Alshaibi will be speaking at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (Texas) on Saturday March 29th as part of the FotoFest 2014 Biennial Conference. The conference brings together varied perspectives of artists, curators, scholars, gallerists and historians pertinent to Arab art, and takes place 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is free to the public.
Sama Alshaibi will be also be participating at a reception and round table discussion with Steve Sabella, Khaled Hafez and Stephen Stapleton at the Arab American Cultural and Community Center on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014. Waleed Gaber, President of the Egyptian American Society in Houston will be the moderator for the event which starts at 7:00 p.m.
