Ayyam Gallery is proud to hold a solo exhibition by the artist Asmaa
Al-Fayoumee, a leading female artist in the syria art scene.
Her first abstraction experience was in the sixties accompanied with
other master Syrian artists, such as Naseer Chaura and Mahmoud Hammad.
In 1966, she successfully achieved a solo exhibition that was mainly
highlighted with abstraction.
This exhibition was a surprise to art viewers and a real challenge in the
Syria art scene and at that time.
During her long artistic career, blue color grades were very obvious in
her works then she moved into black and white period that included
charcoal. But colors remain in her works; Asmaa always discovers new warm
colors which add romantic touch into her paintings.
